DIGITAL ART
Consider digital art as visuals created on an electronic platform. Instead of brushes and canvases, digital tools and software to create everything from basic designs to intricate to editing photographs.
SELF PORTRAIT
This "oil painting" presents a young man in his early twenties, garbed in detailed military attire from the 16th to 18th centuries. The richness of the oils enhances the vibrancy of the scene and the intricacies of the uniform. The painting’s palette employs a mix of bold and subdued tones, and the layered brushwork adds texture, contributing to the overall historical ambiance of the artwork.

RETROSPECTIVE
Harmonizing my pose to match the reference photo presented a challenge, as did aligning the lighting conditions of my photograph to those captured in the reference image. In the end the results were rewarding. The next time I work on something like this I would like to aim for better continuity of brush strokes between myself and the original oil painting.
HOPE
The silhouette of an individual stands before a ladder that ascends towards a light that pierces the enveloping darkness. The ladder symbolizes a journey towards self discovery, while the solitary figure embodies personal resilience amidst the daunting unknown. The surrounding darkness represents uncertainty and doubt, further emphasizing the courage required for this ascent up the ladder. The scene speaks to the human experience, highlighting the courage needed to navigate personal trials and venture from the dark into the light.

RETROSPECTIVE
This project marked my first venture into the realm of digital artistry, where my goal extended beyond creating something that was visually appealing. Instead, I sought to craft a piece that would resonate deeply, provoking profound emotional responses from the viewer.
TEAM ROCKET INSPIRED
MAGIC THE GATHERING
PROXY DECK
This deck is a mischievous tribute to Team Rocket, the iconic troublemakers from the Pokémon universe, reimagined through the lens of Magic: The Gathering. Just like Jessie, James, and Meowth, it thrives on flair, theatrics, and unexpected plays. Every card choice and piece of lore has been enhanced using generative AI, giving the deck a unique flavor that blends nostalgia, chaos, and creativity.

RETROSPECTIVE
While experimenting with generative AI, I'm glad to say that no AI tool can fully replace an artist. To create the final design, I combined elements from several generated images and merged them into the look you see above. Because the client wanted physical cards, I chose to purchase industry-standard playing cards and print directly onto them. This option felt much more authentic than printing on regular paper and cutting it down, which would have resulted in a flimsy, low-quality feel.
ORION NEBULA - M42
"Among the many clouds of glowing interstellar gas, there is one called the Orion Nebula, only 1,500 light-years away from Earth. These three bright stars are seen by Earthlings as the belt in the familiar constellation of Orion the Hunter. The Nebula appears from Earth as a patch of light, the middle star in Orion's sword. But it is not a star; it is something else entirely. A cloud that veils one of nature's secret places. This is a stellar nursery, a place where stars are born."

RETROSPECTIVE
Undertaking this project was a truly exhilarating experience as it blended my fascination of space with my skills in digital media. I was lucky enough to composite a sequence of black and white images, captured by a hobbyist astronomer who used special filters when capturing the nebula. The filters allowed for the capture of reflected light off of the elements carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and iron in the nebula.
